🌟Cholera is an intestinal infection that occurs when a person consumes contaminated food or water and is caused by a bacterium called Vibrio Cholerae.


🌟Its incubation period is very short (1.5 days) and the bacteria produce an enterotoxin upon entry. This will result in a watery sensation without any pain. Severe dehydration occurs. Many patients die if left untreated.


🌟Vomiting bacteria can be found in food or water contaminated by the feces of a person with vomiting.


1.1. Reasons :


🌟Cholera bacteria contaminates the water when the victim defecates in rivers and seas where the water is not treated properly and there is no adequate sanitation. It spreads to other healthy people through contaminated water.


🌟A person becomes infected with cholera by consuming water and food contaminated with cholera bacteria, often through the patient's stool.


🌟It is not directly contagious from one person to another.


1.2. Diagnosis:


Laboratory tests Gram method tissue culture test Dark field microscopy or polymerase chain reaction stool test is used to diagnose the disease.


1.3. Disease symptoms:



🌟This emetic infection is usually mild and asymptomatic. But sometimes severe.

🌟Rapid dehydration can lead to dehydration and shock. Death can occur within hours if not treated.


1.4. Disease Management:


Excessive hydration:


Drink plenty of fluids to compensate for fluid loss Oral rehydration is used to prevent saline dehydration. Home salted porridge water, buttermilk, fruit-chicken soups, grains, boiled water, fresh water, unsweetened light tea, unsweetened fruit juices can be given.
